Stop Tweeting when you have a Pending Claim

A hot topic in the legal community is the impact of social media during the legal process. This recently became a big deal in Montana Federal Court when a person related to the defense in a large civil case was Tweeting updates during a jury trial. Some jurors found out about it, and the judge was not pleased, to say the least. This post has moved to our new blog. What do you do when you are in an accident

Every one of us is likely to be involved in a car accident in our lifetime. Hopefully these accidents will not be serious. Often though, people involved in accidents are not sure if it is a serious accident or not. Very serious injuries can occur even when there is little to no damage to the vehicles. Today's cars and trucks are built very well and with materials that sometimes don't show damage like older cars. This post has moved to our new blog. Auto Insurance Secrets

These days not many people know what their car insurance actually covers, let alone what it means. Did you know that 1 in 4 cars on the road is uninsured. With money being a problem for everyone, that number is rising. Knowing what your "limits" are in insurance can save you thousands of dollars and actually protect you. If you are just paying for the bare legal minimum, you are barely covering the other driver, and not yourself. The bare minimum amounts change in most states, but in every state it is not enough. Do you have to do Field Sobriety Tests?

If you are ever stopped in the State of Montana and an officer thinks you may have been drinking, they will likely ask you to perform field sobriety tests before they ask you to provide a breath sample. What most people do not know, and what the officers will not tell you is that you do not have to do any tests. This post has moved to our new blog. Should you get a lawyer for a car accident?

People contact my office wondering if they should get a lawyer or not to help them settle car injury claims. The reality is that attorneys can and will get you a larger in pocket settlement than if you tried to pursue it on your own. This post has moved to our new blog. DUI to blow or not to blow

One of the most frequent questions I am asked is my legal advice on whether someone that has been pulled over for a DUI should provide a breath sample or not. This issue is becoming a hot topic in Missoula now, as legislation is being proposed to increase the penalty for refusing a breath test. In fact, one of our local politicians supporting this move, was just arrested for a DUI (shockingly she did provide a breath sample). This post has moved to our new blog.
